Activated extra line and wanted to keep my numbe

I have done a cession to take my contract of my fathers name and put in on my own name, since I wanted to keep my number, and also it were time for me to upgrade this contract. When I received the phone yesterday I received it with a new number. Now I have 2 contracts. I only wanted to keep my number and upgrade since I have my number for a several of years. Now no one can help me and no one is responsible for this. I phoned the call centre and the lady told me that they only needed to do a sim swop and now the lady says she wont be able to do that I must use my number as prepaid. That is not what I want to do, I want to use my number in my new phone. That is why I did a cession in the first place to keep my number. I do not want 2 contracts and I want to keep my old number.
