MTN deducted approx. R1660.00 from my bank account - even thought my contract with them clearly states that I am on a R50.00 Top-up contract. I moved/ported my personal cell number from my prepaid phone to new phone, and I did not use the number that MTN issued with phone as I did not need this. I have stated this to MTN clearly on several occasions when approached by MTN call centre staff for an upgrade that I do not want this additional number and that this additional number was not activated from my side. This contract has been running for two year's and three months. Upon enquiry the SIM which I never wanted activated, now, mysteriously have been activated AS AN OPEN ACCOUNT WITH NO LIMIT by someone and I get billed for this. I strongly feel that the terms of my contract was violated. MTN had the odasity to tell me that someone in my household is responsible for activating the number that was dormant for over two years AND THAT IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVE I DID NOT USE THIS SIM CARD. After numerous phone calls, holding on for half hours on end, still no one could assist me after 4 hours with my enquiry into this matter or a way to resolve this transgression
