Premature upgrade nonsense

I was told when I upgraded the last time, prematurely, that I can upgrade my contract every 13 months if my average usage is R800 or more. This was 25 April 2012. When I phoned in on 06/09/2013, 16 months later, they said my contract age is only 10 months old. Which is impossible.

So Vodacom explained to me how it works. Now firstly this is nonsense, premature upgrades basically means you can upgrade on month 19 of the contract instead of the usual month 21. Secondly, this was never explained to me when I did my initial upgrade on 25 April 2012. Thirdly, my contract does not say anything about how the premature upgrade works, as your contract will only start once the old contract has been activated.

This personally is misleading, and this was one of the reasons why I took the specific contract. False advertising etc.
