I ordered my phone online at the end of July & was told I 'd have to wait until 16/08, as my number could only be released from Cell C & ported to Vodacom then.

I finally received my phone on the 20th, but without a sim card. I went into a Vodacom store to purchase one, where they told me I'd need to speak to an online consultant as they'd need to deal with it. They then sent me the sim card, which I received the following day, only to find that they had sent a 64k sim, instead of a micro sim. Surely they should have checked the records to see which sim card needed to be sent for the required phone. I then went back into a store & I purchased the correct sim.

I emailed my info through to the consultant. I was told my number would be activated within 24 to 48 hours, as well as be refunded for the sim. When following up 2 days later, she told me that I could not port my number as my number hadn't been on prepaid for more than 6 months. Why was I not told about this from the start?
I made numerous calls to the activations department/archived no's and sales consultants & it wasn't mentioned once. I need to keep my number as it's not an option. I'm still waiting for a response
