I was at a Cell C store on Saturday to sign up for the Galaxy S4 Straight up 100 deal. I asked if I could have the contract on the top up option, as I would prefer that. I was told it would cost R30 more & I indicated I would pay the higher price if the benefits (bundled minutes, SMS's and data) are the same. I signed all the paperwork and while my sim card was being cut (because Cell C does not have micro sims), I checked with one of the more experienced sales consultants & was told that the top up option does not come bundled with the same data as the non-top up deal.

The contract now needs to be cancelled & then the correct contract signed up for again but this could take a number of days and I can't wait that long. Not even sure I want the contract any more after all this inconvenience!

I ported my number to Cell C but cannot use it now since its on a micro sim and I couldn't take the phone. I have had to get an alternate number in the meantime while this mess is being sorted out. I've been a Vodacom customer for over 10 years and have decided to take my business to Cell C but if my business is not important enough to Cell C then I will just take my business elsewhere!!
