Impossible to port a number to Cell C

I concluded one of the Samsung Galaxy S4 contracts with Cell C and requested them to port my old number. I got my phone on Monday, number wasn't ported. Followed it up on Monday afternoon, whereafter I was told that it will be ported within 24 hours. Waited 24 hours. No port. Contacted Cell C, was told that I must go into a Cell C shop to get my number ported. Went to a Cell C shop on Wednesday and was told there that they cannot help me. Called Cell C again (on Wednesday) and was told that the number will be ported within 24 hours. I told them that I don't believe them and was told that someone will contact me within the 24 hours to confirm that the number was ported. It didn't happen. Waited 24 hours (Thursday) and number was still not ported. Every call took more or less one hour to try to sort this out.

I was put through every day to the "customer care department", "activations department", "port department", "sales department" and "Cell C direct department".

My advise to anybody whom are conidering leaving Vodacom, Cell C or 8ta to go to Cell C?

Don't!!! (Except if you want a new phone number.)
