Phoned head office to enquire about additional data chargess if I were to tether my new Ipad mini without 3G capabilities to my MTN phone contract/sim card in order to use it as a hotspot. Not one of the three people I spoke to had a clue. I got messed around and I was told about a device that lets you do something similar, I was told about WIFI, I was told about a modem and also told about getting a sim with data on it - how any of that is relevant I DON'T KNOW. HOW CAN YOU EMPLOY STAFF WHO HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE ABOUT IMPORTANT INFO??? I want to buy data for my phone (few gigs) and tether my Ipad to it! Tethering is setting up my phone AS A MODEM. I know how to do this but I WANT TO KNOW IF THE DATA CHARGES AND USAGE WILL REMAIN THE SAME - A GB SHOULD LAST ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND I JUST WANTED TO CONFIRM THERE ARE NO OTHER CHARGES AND THIS CAN BE DONE?
