MTN fails to load data for almost two months

On 4 February 2013 I bought a MTN f@stlink E3131 USB Modem at MTN Thabazimbi. The modem was on promotion for February. You pay R549 for the modem and then receive 2GB data for the first month and then 2GB again on the third month.
I bought the modem because I needed to work from home from 11 February since I was on maternity leave until June 2013.
Roan at Cellzone, the MTN shop in Thabazimbi told me that it is a plug and play modem, which will show the data from the second I plug it in.
When I plugged the modem in, there was no data. I had to phone the shop and he said it will take 24 hours.
The next day (5 Feb), it showed 1 GB, I phoned Roan again but he wasn't able to give me an explanation. I phoned every day that week. After a while the MTN shop said I must fix the problem with headquaters, and gave me the number 173 to phone. I phoned and even got a reference number (SMC/00003481685), after three phone calls, they said that the local MTN shop must put my digits on a promotional list and then the data will be loaded, I contacted Roan with the info, but still, after SIX weeks, and numerous phone calls, I still haven't received the extra 1GB of data. PLEASE HELP!!!
