My husband and i recently considered taking out 2 cellphone contracts and he persuaded me to go with Telkom/8ta because Telkom being a well established name instead of the other network providers like MTN, Vodacom etc, nothing against those providers. So off to Telkom we go, no problem in the Vangate store, everything was explained well and then came the bitter part, they advise us that i can take out another contract if i choose to, so i thought why not take one out for my husband, he wanted the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as no other phone interested him. This was all done Saturday 13 July and they said they will order a phone from the branch they work closely with and that is in Adderley Street and my husband should have the phone by the Monday 15 July or Tuesday 16 July. Well we went to the store on the Tuesday only to find out the Adderley Street branch didnt have in stock and the agent put in an order that comes from i dont know where and the phone should be here within the week. Phoned the branch on Thursday 18th July only to find out the agent didnt put the order through the Monday but only the Tuesday and it will take 7 Bussiness days. SO my regret is ever taking a contract out with Telkom
