I hve a contract with Vodacom, my phne is water damage and I took it 4 repairs, I received a quote of R2422.90 which is ridiculous coz that's the value of a new phone. I am not prepared to buy that amount so I asked them if there is no other option for me to obtain a new phone as I am receiving now R315 airtime monthly but I do not have a phone to use it on. I asked them if I can have an early upgrade and just pay the balance of what I owe on my damage handset which is R572, So I was told by them that I can only qualify if my contract was 13 months old, average spent on 1st upgrade must be R1600, was thn told that the best option for me is to rather borrow a phone from someone, buy a new phone or rent a phone. I told them thn I want to cancel my contract and I recvd a Cancellation Quote of R3775.50, madness. Why can't they give me a new phone the value of my damage handset was R1056 balance owing R572 so why can they not add the R572 to the R1056 and divide it by the 13mnths that is left of 24months contract and let me pay R125 p/m for my handset R315 for my airtime subscription. This is not much to ask frm Vodacom they will not lose any money if they can assist in this way.
