I have a prepaid sim card for my vodacom modem for my laptop which I haven't used in a few months. I went to load data on the number (0794355249) today and when i tried to connect to the internet a message popped up that i needed to connect my sim card and i must call 082155 to do this. I called and the lady who assisted me advised that because i had not used the sim in a few months, vodacom had given the number to someone else. I asked her if I could go to the shop and they could refund my R159.00 and she advised that she understood my frustration but I would not be able to get the money back. How is it ethical to give a number to someone else without informing the customer and then allow data to be loaded and not refunded? I feel it is only fair that I be refunded the R159.00.
