Excellent customer service

I bought R159 airtime to purchase a data bundle for my 3G modem. When I put the 3G sim card into a phone to buy the data bundle from my airtime credit the message "SIM registration failed" appeared. I hadn't used the 3G for some considerable time and I was unaware that there is a 'use it or lose it' policy that comes into effect after 6 months. Anyway it appears that my number has been re-allocated to someone else and they got a 'bonus' airtime deposit. On reporting this to Vodacom (to a very helpful and patient Sylvester) and requesting a refund they logged a query and within 24 hours I was delighted to receive a message from Craig-Paul Solomons stating that Vodacom has credited my account with R159 as a gesture of goodwill. For some time I have been toying with the idea of trying a new cellphone provider but will definitely now stay with Vodacom - well done Craig and Sylvester!
