Vodacom
Forced to pay for contract that's useless

We took out a contract with vodacom on the 27 April 2013 for a Sony Experia V... we returned the device within 7 working days because we could not get a signal and the battery life was pathetic.. They sent it in on an OBF and gave us a new device.. We had the same problems and took the device back and this time requested the contract to be cancelled as we refuse to pay for something that does not work..their technicians say there is nothing wrong with the device..then why cannot we not pick up a signal (even in the store) and the battery life does not last..the response from the store was that we cannot cancel because we signed a contract and the call centre (while waiting for an hour) says that they will have to do a premature cancellation and we have to pay to end the contract.

I'm sure The consumer protection act allows us to cancel due to unsatisfactory devices..they have already taken their first debit order even though we have not had the device more than 24 hrs... the device is still with the branch..

We getting the run around and being treated like...

I wanted contract cancelled
