I signed up for a MTN contract in April 2013 consisting of a cell phone (Galaxy S3 Mini) and Galaxy Tablet - each of the two devices had their own numbers and they were two seperate contracts.
After the first day, I experienced technical problems with the Tablet and returned it to the MTN Store (Walmer Park - Port Elizabeth) and I cancelled the contract and returned the device (and I signed the cancellation documents) as it was within the cooling period whereby I had the right to cancel the contract.
Even though I cancelled the contract in April, MTN has still been deducting R299 off my account every month.
I have sent numerous e-mails to MTN and I have phoned the call centre and visited the branch numerous times and phoned them.
They are still deducting the money off my account 4 months later.
The cancellations department claim that the store is at fault and the store is claiming that the cancellations department is at fault. All the while, I am being charged for a device which I do not have in my posession.
I think this is shocking service that MTN are treating me as a customer like this and can not take repsonsibility for their mistakes.
