I recently installed a telephone line in Glenanda after confirming with Telkom that I could upgrade the line to an ADSL Service. The call centre agent confirmed that my area (Glenanda) supported ADSL at my exchange. After I installed the line, I tried to upgrade the line, only to be told that there were no ports available and so there was no infrastructure available to upgrade. After I called again, a call centre agent told me that there was simply no telling when 'additional ports' could be installed. I am extremely frustrated with the poor service received.
