Where is my upgrade?

I received a customer order number U489506 from "Rewards" mid-May 2013, for an upgrade to a new phone on my vodacom account.
The account is in my sons name, an arrangement my son and I have had for over 8 years with Vodacom.
"Rewards" company called him, and together they arranged that the upgrade be delivered to my home.

Now the chaos begins.
Firstly I was called by the courier, from Nelspruit! (I live in Honeydew, Johannesburg)
Upon eventual delivery, however, the courier could not hand the phone over - as the account is in my sons name.
So he was again contacted and gave his consent.
All this to no avail so upgrade was cancelled by mutual consent as going from one department to the next seemed pointless.
Went to Vodacare Cresta with relevant paperwork to re-apply & collect in person.

Over 2 hours spent inside the store, with Sakhile (011 6789114) calls to managers and customer service call centres - the staff are stumped! The account reflects that the order is still in 'delivery mode' / 'Blocked' even after being cancelled.
No idea on how to proceed with obtaining my upgrade.

I leave for a trip in 3 days, will I have my upgrade in time?
