I was very happy to have my 1mb uncapped ADSL line installed on Tuesday. However, I have had terrible connection speeds and pings to various servers.
I know its only a 1mb line, but connected directly through an ethernet cable I should not be getting 114ms ping, 0.25mb download and 0.40mb upload speeds. I have performed this test 8 times with all similar results.
I have contacted the call centre atleast 10 times with no one being remotely helpful except for a gentleman by the name of Sydney who I am awaiting a call on Monday after tonights conversation.
It is unacceptable that as a brand spanking new customer that i am having this appalling connection speeds and pings.
I have spent atleast 2.5 hours on the phone to telkom during the course of this week to resolve this and yet I have to still wait and probably wait even longer for someone to do anything about it.
This really is unacceptable.
