Dear Hallo Peter,
I have a running contract for data transfer with Vodacom.
On 15 March 2013, burglars broke into my house and a number of items, amongst it, the above mentioned data card. The number is 079 498 8505
This was not evident at first, as the particular card and USB modem was not used for about 6 months before.
This was found and reported to Vodacom shop, Bluff, Pick and Pay centre. I was told that the card was stopped/locked and that would be the end of that.
On 30 April 2013, the bank took R4, 000 for Vodacom, due to calls made, using the sim. This was investigated and it was found that the calls were still being made right op to the 30th of April 2013 - 15 days after the sim was supposed to be locked!
This was reported to Vodacom call centre, we visited their customer centre, spent more than 2 hours there and made various follow up calls to resolve this issue, but to no avail.
Please assist in bringing this issue to a close?
Regards
Santie Rindel
