I have 2 Vodacom contracts, one for my cell phone and another for data; 3g modem. Both numbers are billed together and share my details etc at vodacom. Having received a sms notification that my data limit had almost been reached I logged onto MYVodacom and bought a once off 1gb data bundle for my data card. A few days later I was shocked to see the amount added to my bill for out of bundle data usage. On further investigation I figured out that the 1gig data bundle had been added to my cell phone number instead of my data number. I called vodacom customer care and after spending close to an hour (much of it on hold) I was told there was no way to correct vodacom's mistake or to transfer the data. As a migration from contract to pre-paid on my cell was only 2 days away I would also lose all the data, which should've only expired at the end of Oct. I was however, told to call back on Mon during office hours and they would credit me with the data. On Mon I was told nothing could be done as the migration already took place. Why won't vodacom admit and rectify a mistake? Why did they about a credit? Why can't I transfer data like I can airtime? Cm'on Vodacom!
