I have a standard data contract with Vodacom with a dual SIM card attached to it, and one of the SIM cards was not in use for six months.
When I wanted to use it again, the SIM card was no longer working. I addressed it with the call center, and was told that the SIM card was ported to another network, which is impossible from my side.
My primary complaint is that Vodacom requires 14 working days just to investigate the issue, nevermind resolve the issue. This is patently ridiculous, as leaving a contract customer unable to work for the better part of a month WHILE STILL PAYING for the service is unnacceptable.
I would expect that a free SIM swap would be authorised at no cost since the issue is not user related, and the problem can still be investigated and resolved to ensure it does not happen in the future.
