Vodacom
Billed for SMS's

I currently have two contracts with Vodacom, upon viewing my billed statement for the period 01 to 30 April 2013 I noted SMS costs amounting to R1.80 and R18.37 on each number, respectively. The one number (X) where I was billed R1.80 is a contract with a modem, whereby the card is never removed from the modem, therefore no SMS could be sent from number X, the other number I use only for my blackberry, as the contract is on a Blackberry Talk 100 BIS, I do have another number, prepaid which is used for most of my calls and if the need arises SMS's. I contacted Vodacom to query the costs on my account, only to be told that I need to pay? R22 per number which equates to about R44. My query relates to R20.17 and yet Vodacom wants me to pay almost R44 because I don't have itemised billing. I do not see the logic in me paying for an amount which is less then what I am querying. My question how did you Vodacom come about the SMS cost initially, well according to call centre agents I need to pay R44 to get that answer, so Vodacom I decided, please inform the CEO he / she can keep the money and buy him /her self a lolly-pop at my expense.
