I purchased a Vodacom sim card which I Rica'd at Vodacom Greenstone & was allocated a cell # which I use in a data modem. I have been loading data since beginning March, the last being 100mb beginning April. On 27th April I could not log on & accessed my account on line, I still had 90mb but received a message to activate my sim. I phoned the call centre and was amazed to find that my cell # had been re-allocated to a 3rd party in a sim swop on 17th April. The agent could not help me further & referred me to a Vodacom Shop. I went to Vodacom Alberton City & their system confirmed the sim swop on 17th & that my number had been allocated to a 3rd party on a BB Package. The young lady was amazed that this had happened but was unable to help me retrieve my 90mb. The cell # was Rica'd under my ID #, so I decided to cut my losses & de-registered the number. I thank my lucky stars that I was using the sim in a prepaid data modem & not a cellphone. I have since been told that it is to issue a registered number to a 3rd party. SO VODACOM, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?
