I have been waiting for the day I can cancel my MTN contract since the day I signed it two years ago. Roughly two weeks ago I realized that my contract is about to expire. I immediately called the local MTN store to inform them that I do NOT wish to renew my MTN contract. The person told me that it is impossible to give notice telepathically and that I need to come into the store to cancel the contract. The following day I visited the MTN store at St Georges Square, George where I was informed that I cannot give notice until after the renewal date which I thought was today and that it can only be done by dialing 808.
Today I called MTN again and to my surprise this time I was informed that I should have given 30 days notice. I finally managed to give my 30 days notice today meaning that I am trapped paying another month for something I hardly ever use. Luckily for MTN all cell phone service providers are useless making MTN a little less useless than some of the others. I suggest to fire the kid working at MTN St Georges Square, George.
