As far as I can establish, you must give MTN at least 30 days' notice to cancel a contract. Today, their call centre tells me that you must wait until 30 days before the contract ends to actually give them notice of a contract cancellation. In effect then, this gives you one day in which to cancel a contract, failing which it will run for an additional month.
This is not only arrogant and extremely poor customer service, it also doesn't sound quite legal. But it certainly matches what I have come to expect from MTN I suppose.
