No 3g coverage in Area, no solution offered

I took out a contract about 2 months ago. I was told that cell c has nation wide coverage and that I wont have any problems by the sales assistant. I quickly discovered that I had little or no coverage at home in the Pretoria east area and after much effort from my part dealing with unprofessional quick talking 'know it all' salesman who accomplished absolutely nothing by swopping my sim card and insisting they were doing me a huge favour by not charging me for it, I owed them a coke for that btw. I eventually found that if I changed my mobile setting to gsm only and used the Vodacom towers I would have perfect signal. Only now, I would only be able to connect to Edge GPRS and 2g for data connections. Now, you don't get a much out of a smart phone on these signal as the speeds are dismal. To rescan and change your connection type and service provider every time you leave the house is not practical. I informed cell c of this problem, I was told because there was a phone issued with the contract there is no recourse for me and I am stuck. They are unwilling to renegotiate my contract so that I could just pay for the phone so now Im stuck with a 'dead horse' and a business to run.
