In April 2013 I moved from MTN to Cell C. The reason for my move was due to the appealing specials offered by Cell C.
I have had issues with the coverage since the inception of my contract. I work in the middle of Sandton - the financial centre of Africa - but while I am at work I get absolutely no network coverage. Cell C advertises that they now cover 97% of the population; I'm assuming that the remaining 3% is the Sandton area???
I used to get full signal when I was on MTN and my work phone, which is on Vodacom, has never given me a moment's problem.
Data coverage is even worse, although my phone shows that I have full 3G signal, I am not able to go onto the internet or send or receive any Whatsapp messages.
I have tried to phone the call centre but am not able to use my cell phone for this because I have no signal. So I have had to resort to submitting my complaints by email. I have sent four complaints. I have received feedback from three of them but nothing that has been at all helpful.
I am completely fed up and will be going into a Cell C store to cancel my contract without penalties since I have not been afforded with the service for which I signed up.
