I took out a cell c data contract about 2months ago, and when i applied, i was asked for my address to verify if there was 3g coverage. Im from vanderbijlpark, and there is coverage, i even Verified on the cell c website.
When i received the card, i put it into my ipad (3g ipad 2) and i had excellent coverage for a few days. Since then however, i now only get edge covage. Edge is extremely slow, i cannot even load the fnb site without it bombing out. I even tried using my ipad in jhb, but there too, i only had edge coverage. Its pointless having edge, as its more frustrating than usefull.
I have attempted to edit settings, reset the card, all of which did not make any difference. When i put in a mtn, or 8ta sim into the ipad, i get 3g connections. So i know there is no problem with the ipad.
So why do cell c advertise 3g coverage in my area, when i cannot get such a connection?
