Poor service

Went to start a contract at the gym. Was unable to follow through and sent a letter of cancellation within the cooling period.

When starting the contract No banking details were given (With a witness). Within the cancellation letter was my banking details for money to be refunded which was paid when starting up.
Towards the end of October I received three debit orders off my account from the planet fitness for admin fee, membership fee and jacket fee.
I had to go to the bank a reverse this, within in that time I could not speak to anyone at head office and the phone just rang consistently.
I then went to the benoni branch and consulted with the manager. After receiving an email saying my account has not yet been cancelled
The manager informed me the sales rep who is the Managing Sales rep said my cancellation was sent after 15 days (I have proof that its within the cooling period of the consumer protection act), AND the information on the cancellation letter I sent with my banking details, He filled on the contact (which he didn't give me a copy of) that was meant to be cancelled and submitted it. This Is and breach of contract.
I am still waiting for proof of cancellation
