I joined Planet Fitness on 26/03/11. My contract was for the duration of 12 months. Went to the branch on 30/05/13 to cancel my contract. I was informed of a settlement fee & after explaining to Elijah that I signed a 1 yr contract he went to the archives & drew the original contract, which indicates that it was for a period of 12 months. As per the T&C of my contract I gave 30 days notice, however I was debited the monthly fee on 01/07/13.I phoned the club on numerous occasions with no response. Spoke to management & was advised to send an email in order for the fault to be rectified. I sent an email on 11/06/13 & followed up on numerous occasions for feedback & left messages twice a week however no response. On 01/08/13 my account was again debited with the monthly fee. Went to the club on 2 Aug to ask for an explanation & was informed Elijah deals with it. Demanded a copy of my contract & the cancellation form. After waiting for 1.5hrs the original couldn't be found & I was given a copy of a scanned contract and the cancellation form could not be found. They owe me more than R700 & refuses to cancel my contract. This is a club with a motto "You talk, we listen, we respond" NOT!!!
