On the 29-05-2012 my 70year old mum purchased frying pans from shoprite. the products were of bad quality. she went a month later to return it, you could see it belonged to shoprite as she had the inner sticker but because she didnt have the actual receipt, they refused to assist her and were very rude. on the 01-01-13 she found the receipts and went back to shoprite to return the items, they refused to refund her but instead exchanged it for the very same product. the females that were there were very rude and nasty to her, telling her "well if you buy cheap quality, what do you expect". is this how one speaks to a senior citizen? it is unacceptable. i want a written apology from them to my mum as well as a full refund, i am prepared to take the items back to them. people of such low calibre should not be working in an environment were you have to interact with people. something they should remember. "the customer is always right" and to be disrespectful is disgusting. your customer is who pays your salary and if this is the way that they treat elderly people then help them, for they will surely be punished.
