Shoprite only has a 7 day refund on electrical app

I bought a two plate stove on the 23rd of July 2013, already both plates are not working and when I requested a refund for I felt that the quality was not up to standard, I was told by Queen, who stated that she was the store supervisor that at Shoprite they have a 7 day refund policy on electrical appliances, I have never heard such neusance in my entire life, for the CPA poster right next to her clearly stipulated that there is a 6 months refund on electrical appliences. She also told me that she made a phonecall to her regional manager by the name of Micheal Simelane, who also confirmed that to her. I was disgusted by the manner Shoprite treats their customers, I have told all my collegues and family members not to use shoprite stores for they do not have any customer service in any way what so ever. I believe they are taking customers for a ride for I have heard numerous of people also complaining about the two plate stoves of the shoprite brand being faulty and not durable.
