Wife's Edgars card not linked to main account

When the new Edgars ThankYou card was introduced, both my wife and myself reported to the CapeGate Customer Services section with our I.D's to have the new cards registered/linked and issued.

Since then we have made several purchases, essentially using my wife's ThankYou card at various Edgars Stores without any hassels.

On Wednesday, 27 March 2013, when attempting to purchase an item at CapeGate store, my wife's card was BLOCKED because it was not linked to the main account!

On calling at the Customer Services section we were faced by an extremely arrogant assistant with questions - "Who' s card is this? " and "Who's signature is this? " - this was after my wife had handed the card to her personally. We were treated as criminals who had "" a card!!!

Incidently, we have been customers of Edgars for more than 20 years and this is how customers are treated!!!

This type of service will be passed on to friends and family to advise them of the treatment received at Edgars.

We will cease to purchase items from Edgars with immediate effect.
