Very bad service at its best

I did a cash purchase using my debit card Thruworths in Middelburg mall on 16th September and on the 17th i went back to return the clothes and buy them with my account instead and when i got there i was told that the money was gonna be reversed back to my card because they cant give me cash and i was ok with that the return was done and i continued doing my shopping at the mall.i went to do my groceries and when i got to the till my card declined because of insufficient funds, so i checked my balance the money was not in my card, on the 18th i went back to the store they told me that money will take 7 days to be transferred back to my card, which is something they never cared to tell me when the transaction was taking the supervisor called the head office but she could not be assisted..i fail to understand why i have to wait 7 days for my money but but it took them less than a minutes to debit the money from my card...i am very furious in fact i am fuming because this not the first time I'm getting bad service from the very same branch all i want is my money and i want it before Friday or i will take this further..
