ABSA HAD ISSUES ON FRIDAY 31 MAY 2013 REGARDING WITHDRAWALS AND SWIPING, I HAVE THE NEW CHIP CARD AND COULD NOT SWIPE MY CARD AS IT WAS ALWAYS DECLINED. I PHONED TO COMPLAIN AS IT IS MY FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS WITH ABSA! SATURDAY AFTERNOON WENT TO CHECKERS BRACKENHURST TO BUY STUFF, CARD WAS DECLINED TWICE SO PAID CASH. HALF WAY HOME GOT A SMS TO SAY THE MONEY FROM CHECKERS HAS GONE OFF MY ACCOUNT AFTER I HAD TO PAY CASH. PHONED 0860008600 WAS TOLD SYSTEM IS OFFLINE, WENT TO ABSA EASTGATE WHERE I WAS TOLD MONEY IS RESERVED I MUST WAIT TO SEE IF MONEY GETS TRANSFERRED BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT. WHEN I PHONE 0860008600 THEY CAN SEE THE MONEY IS OUT OF THE ACCOUNT BUT AT THE BRANCHES ITS NOT REFLECTING!!! I DONT SEE WHY I HAVE TO FIGHT TO GET MY MONEY BACK AS I HAVE THE SMS TO SHOW THE MONEY IS OUT MY ACCOUNT AND RECEIPT THAT I PAID CASH FOR THE GOODS! I HAVE BEEN TO CHECKERS TO SEE IF THE MONEY IS REFLECTIONG ON THEIR STATEMENTS AND NOTHING. FIRST SALARY INTO MY ABSA ACCOUNT AND THIS IS WHAT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH!!!
