I bought a Kenwood K-Mix in November 2012. I used it 3 times to puree veggies, the 4th time I switched it on in may2013 (it is not something i use daily), there was a big BANG and smoke! I took this almost new appliance back to Makro the end of May 2013. They sent it in for repairs, I received some sms from them. Because I stay in JHb I don't come to the Silver lakes area often. On Saturday (3/8/2013) I had to be there and decided to collect my three blade chopper, after 8 - 9 weeks. The attendant took quite some time trying to find it. When she eventually returned she said they are still waiting for parts. Maybe I should have bought a No Nome brand from the local supermarket at a quarter of the price???

Is the bad service from Kenwood or Makro? I honestly think they should have replaced it with a new one, when I took it in... why must they always try and repair, even when they do not have spare parts?
