I bought a Defy chest freezer at Makro Silver Lakes on Monday 10 June 2013 and Simon Ntebele was the sales person. In store he helped me very friendly. Arriving at home I opened the box and as I removed the freezer I saw very poor manufacturing flaws not so much visible and thought I could live with it. However the next morning when it cooled down I noticed that the whole front panel buckled and had a wave in the sheet metal right in the direction of the flaw.
I phoned Makro and spoke to Simon Ntebele the salesman, explaining the issue. After he returned my call a few times he assured me that a new one will be delivered to me today.

Well I've just received my new freezer and it looks in good nic.

Feather in the cap for you Simon and Makro Silver Lakes, but not so much for Defy hey. What kind of quality control system have they got that something like this passes the inspections.
