I purchased a Dremel 4000 multi tool on the 15/08/2013 at Makro Silver lakes. This morning a part broke off and I took it to the Silver Lakes Makro to be replaced as I have a long list of things to do over the long weekend. I was told that it cannot be replaced as it was purchased more then 14 days ago and it has to be sent to the supplier. I eventually spoke to the Manager, a Mr. Nell Badenhorst, who was quite rude and my expierience with him and the staff was really unpleasant. The worst part is why does a well known brand like Dremel not offer a better service and how can they let Makro sell it. In the past if the item broke and was purchased less then 6 months ago it was always replaced immediately. I have spent a lot of money at Makro in the last few years and have never had a problem with refunds or replacements. But suddenly today there is a 14 day rule applied.
Makro will never see me again.
