Firstly, I'd just like to say that I honestly like shopping at Shoprite since their prices are cheaper than many of the other stores.
I work until 5pm Monday-Friday and don't enjoy shopping on weekends since stores are so packed. I checked the store times on the internet and it showed that this store closes at 18:30, just to be sure I called the store myself (021 929 2360) and the lady confirmed that this was correct.
After work I rushed to the taxi rank so that I could get home, pick up my son and make it in time to get to Shoprite Cravenby.
I live 10 minutes away and even passed Spar Avonwood but when I got there at 17:58, the gate was pulled closed. I asked the security guard if he'd let me in and all he said was "Sorry we closed".
I'm really disappointed, I understand that store staff also need to get home to their families but then Shoprite should rectify their store times and not mislead customers' such as myself with false information.
