I have been trying, without ANY success, to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the Dept. of Labour, despite having submitted my returns timeously. My Certificate expired on 31.12.2012 & despite numerous letters, I have not received a response. I eventually discovered that I could go on-line, I re-submitted my return, was immediately assessed (1 good thing) & invoiced to pay before 30 April 2013. In the hope of a quick response, I paid on 10.4.2013 & faxed all proof & request through to them. On 17.4.2013 & 18.4.2013, I have been on the telephone continuously to various numbers - the majority of them are just never answered! This Certificate is needed to register on new Clients' databases & to maintain credibility with existing Clients, & not being able to produce a valid Certificate will disadvantage my business greatly. I am at my wits end & would appreciate any assistance.
