I have been trying to contact the Pretoria and Durban Department of labour branches and I cannot get through. I was advised by the Richards bay branch that I need to pay in all monies and assessments due in-order to get my new letter of good standing, And if I pay before the end of April, I will get a discount of 10%. I paid in full and applied for my letter for good standing on the 5 April and I have still not received any response from the department. I am tired of wasting my phone calls phoning the Richards bay branch and they cannot get through as well. What do we businessmen do in this case. Because of this I cannot enter sites to do work and I have to send my staff home without pay. Now it's affecting them and me because I cannot do any work and therefore no income for the month. What do I do now. Please advise me and all the businessmen who are awaiting their letters of good standing. I would appreciate a response asap.
