PLEASE HELP!!!
My complaint concerns incompetency of the staff at the Department of Labour in Randburg, Johannesburg. I am a single mother of two (ages: 18 months; and 7 weeks) and I am worried about not being able to pay my rent and buy food, etc. I am broke!
After four trips to this department, my paperwork (according to the young, well dressed gentleman (who sits at the corner cubicle), was correct and the forms were all accurate and ready for processing on 17th December 2013. He advised me to phone them on 011 781 8144 should there be any delay in my maternity benefits payout.
I first tried to contact this office on 09th Jan 2014 at least seven times, to no avail as NO ONE answered the phone! NO ONE!!! I eventually spoke to Thomas from the Braamfontein branch who advised that my paperwork has not even been loaded onto the system yet. To date, 23rd Jan 2014, my application has still not been processed properly and form 2.7 didn't have my return date (to work) on it.
NO ONE phones or emails me to say, "Hey, your form hasn't been filled in properly and the person who initially assisted you does not know how to do his job! " Not even the acting manager, Robert!
