I started maternity leave on 01/09/13 and did my application in September at labour in Luipaardsvlei. I gave birth on the 19/09/13 but up to now my claim is not yet approved & as to why I don't know and no one is prepared to explain. I've been going up & down that department 4 nothing, I even called on the 29/10/13 to check & was transferred to Vuli @ Uif who took my details, promised 2 contact me & never did. I then went there again on the 31/10/13 & she told me that my application was ok & updated on the system it only awaited approval which was gonna be done on the 01/11/13. I even signed a claim form and she said to call back when I receive money to get another payment date. I waited the whole day on the 1st & no payment came through, I called her again yesterday & up to now am still waiting for her to come back to me. What kind of service is this? Must I leave my little girl & go back to work because of labour? I'm so tired o going up & down, even holding forever when contacting them. Please help cause its now my third month & I haven't received not even a single payment from labour.
