My claim was supposed to have been submitted to the department of labour in August 2012. Till today May 2013 my claim is still not paid. Had to take a small loan to payoff debts from the two months i was off work. When i contact the department of labour they have no record of any maternity claim in my name.
I heard millions of stories about the department not doing their work from Marie. I even completed same forms twice because the department won't take original forms since the date is in the past. When i ask her about her contact at the department or the person she is dealing with she doesnt want to disclose.
I even asked her for my claim number, she says there's no such a as a claim number... not sure if thats true.
I am so frustrated right now because the last story i heard was that my claim is rejected by the board at the department because the claim is older than 6 months. Therefore she has to appeal.
I dont know what to do.
