Now really, lifetime maps are only if you update within the 1st 3months... nobody tells you that when you are buying it. I bought the tomtom only because of that update feature, and only to find out a number of months later that i was supposed to then update it and set it up within 3months. I got it because i was on the road, and these details are not mentioned clearly enough.
So now I have to pay more than i paid for the tomtom almost, so that i can update the device? It's cheaper to go and buy a new navigation device... possibly a garmin that i know they will charge me 200 to update every year! Really disappointing, its probably listed in "fine print" somewhere!
