Discovery Health
Out of Hospital Prescribed Minimum Benefit

On 29/2/2012 I got an approval from Discovery for a Out of Hospital Prescribed Minimum Benefit. This benefit was approved and valid from 1/1/2012 till 30/12/2012. My daughter eventually went for the tests @ the haemotologist on 7/11/2012. Accounts were submitted and out of the blue I get threatened by Lancet Laboratories for an amount that was not paid eventhough I have an approval for it from clinical health dept @ DISCOVERY! Vists to Discovery in Fredman Drive, Calls made etc etc and to date I have no answer as to why. Everytime I call and ask I go through the whole process again explaining and more explaining... normally this takes at least a 45 min to an hour... What a waste of my time! @ 16h00 Today I get a call from a gentleman saying that Lancet is not allowed to charge for a specific test!!! And that the haemotologist was suppose to charge for it! I spoke to the Dr's rooms and she disagrees! Lancet has to charge for the blood tests! It was intimated that i should have known this?

I am a very unhappy DISCOVERY MEMBER at the moment!

Let's see what the next story is they are going to spin me!
