I am a heart recipient, receiving my new heart 31 Jan 2012. After leaving hospital 2 months later i were to have out of hospital blood tests done every month so that my medication can be adjusted accordingly to prevent rejection of the heart. I am in possession of a letter of approval for the blood tests from Discovery on PMB out of hospital treatment yet for 8 months now they refuse to pay for the tests nor do they reply to my complaints. To date I have 36 reference numbers on logged complaints!!! nothing is being done. When they do reply the process only starts all over. E-mails to discovery with copy's of final demands are also just ignored. At the end of the day it comes down to "you pay your exorbitant medical aid fee and just be happy that you get something out" whatever they decide. Desperate Heart Patient!!!
