I have been with Momentum now for at least a year, possibly even longer and have been happily paying my premiums.
I am shocked that the very first time I actually need to make use of this facility I seem to either not be covered and the rigmerol I have to go through to get authorization is incredible. I spent 10mins on a call yesterday just trying to get them to answer one simple question.
I have asked time and time again for transparency with my application as to know what costs I will have to incur, but I keep getting told that one department deals with dental, and one deals with hospitals etc, it's crazy. I don't care how many departments you have. I pay one premium for one account number, don't pawn the problem off to another department.
Whats worse is I have to now get a quote from the hospital and the anesthetist myself? When have you ever? When I told the DR he laughed at how ridiculous Momentum's process is, it's a joke.
I tried so desperately to get the information from the caller but the lack of ability (or intuition and training) to be able to answer a simple yes or no question was staggering.
I feel completely robbed, and yes, I'm shopping around now.
