Funds depleted while being hospitalised

My husband a knee operation in October, he was hospitalised for a week and received medication for the recovery period post operation at home, this medication game from the day to day and not the acute section. He therefore suffered depletion in his funds and was not able to go to physio or follow-up visits to the doctor for the check-up or X-rays to the doctor that done the procedure. It is numerous problems that occur with this service provider and they can never resolve the continuous problem of billing. I was due for a doctor's visit today and he was forced to pay R600.00 today in order to see the doctor. I am appalled at this administration of this particular service provider, since an injury of this nature required follow-ups and continued service of specialised individuals; these individuals require to be paid. Our required payment is received monthly by this service provider, what else is required to get the service provider to pay for these specialised items require. We as civil servants are forced to go to this service provider yet we struggle when it comes to going to specialist because either your funds is depleted or you have to pay in
