My husband had to go see a doctor in July, the doctor that we selected as our network provider could only see him in two weeks, so I phoned Bestmed to get authorization to see a different doctor in the same network - like usual I was sent from pillar to post (you dial the number provided then the person that you get through to says you must phone a different number, then you phone that number only to be given the number that you started off with) be that as it may - I finally obtained an authorization number for my husband to go to the other doctor. Today I was phoned by the doctor's office stating that the consultation fee wasn't paid, the admin lady from the doctor's office said she did submit the claim with the authorization number, but it was declined because it is not our selected doctor. What is the use of obtaining an authorization number?
