Doctor works on his own time no regard for patient

My 82 year old grandfather was admitted to hospital in vereeniging on Monday 07.10.13 for a basic scope procedure at 10.00am, he only went into theatre at 10pm when the doctor arrived! On Tuesday I contacted Dr van der merwe to follow up and was advised that further x rays were required and that he would be in contact with the family after the xrays. On Thursday 10.10.13 I eventually got hold of the doctor only to find out that the patient was finally discharged. Between Tuesday and Thursday morning the family had no communication with the doctor and the doctor had not communicated with the hospital ward either. We were told by another patient that the DR had visited on the Wednesday night at 11pm - what DR visits an 82 year old patient at 11pm? Dr van der Merwe's communication with the patient and family has been very poor and his attitude towards his 82 year old patient is shocking! When I contacted the DR on Thursday morning and wanted to address my concerns with him he hang the phone up on me and would not discuss the matter. I find this sort of attitude from a medical service provider absolutely unnaccepable! AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS!
